‘From start to finish Prith was amazing. She was really supportive in helping design the painting along with adding her creative brilliance. Together we created a wonderful painting of my sister for my Mum which I can wait to give her. I can’t thank her enough and would highly recommend her to everyone.’ Many thanks Prith, Ben x’
Ben commissioned the painting of Amy as a Christmas gift. He later added ‘My Mum loved the painting it made her Christmas’.
Commissioning a portrait is a way of honouring a person in your life.
Throughout history, people of significance have been immortalised in a painting. A good painting will not just capture a likeness but also the energy of a person. A painting of someone you have lost is perhaps most special because it’s a great way to not just remember but stay connected to that person. The painting on the left is of my own Mother who passed last year.
‘Prith painted my late mother from a photo of when she was a young woman. It captures her exactly. Just perfect. It now has pride of place in my home. Was so pleased with it, I commissioned another painting of my mother as a very young girl for my sister. It is fabulous and my sister was so pleased. ‘ Louise Sulley

What to do next to commission a Portrait
Please contact me and we can discuss your ideas. The more I know about the person the better the painting, so that will be one of the first things we do together. After that we’ll discuss elements you would like included and backgrounds. Paintings can tell a story so all this will contribute to the composition.
‘Prith did a portrait of my Mum. She looks like she is coming out of the painting to speak to me. It’s a fabulous picture which is very special to me.’ Mangla Dodiya
